Attorney Ronald R. Ward
 In a thirty-year legal career highlighted by national honors, Ron Ward’s highest privilege is to assist his clients in recovering fair, just and sizeable personal injury and wrongful death settlements and verdicts. Ron has been named one of the Top 40 Personal Injury Lawyers in Washington, has been selected as a Super Lawyer since 2003, and is a current member and officer of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Ward’s past recoveries include $6.45 million dollars for a Northwest family in an auto collision; $1.32 million dollars on behalf of the surviving spouse of a Washington wrongful death victim of a defective drug, in a pharmaceutical product liability case; and a multitude of multiple six-figure results in maritime personal injury cases for commercial seaman, fishermen and processors. Ron continues to live his life by a simple motto: “I want to make a difference.”

History was made on September 16, 2004 when Ronald R. (Ron) Ward was elected president of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), becoming the first African-American to hold the post in the association’s then 114-year history. During his ground-breaking term as leader of Washington’s legal profession, Mr. Ward founded the WSBA Leadership Institute (WLI), a leadership development program for young lawyers, particularly those from traditionally underrepresented diverse groups. The WLI program has won national honors: including the 2005 American Bar Association Partnership Award and the 2006 LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Legal Fellowship, and has been adopted by the states of New York, Arizona and Oregon. Ron is in his third term in the ABA House of Delegates and is the current president of the Washington State Bar Foundation.
